The special meeting of the City of Scotland was called to order by President Dennis Bietz at 5:00pm on Monday, July 17, 2023. The following council members answered to roll call: Tim Asche, Victor Settje, Sean Barrett and Myles Runyon (5:07pm). Those council members absent were Randy Abbink. Others present were Tanya Bult, Chris Simantel, Tristan Bult and Randy Thum (via phone).

A motion was made by Asche, second by Barrett to enter into executive session at 5:01pm for Personnel as per SDCL 1-25-2 Sub (1). All voted in favor.  Motion carried. 

A motion was made by Settje, second by Runyon to come out of executive session at 6:21pm with the following action taken. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Settje, second by Barrett to rescind the motion to accept the resignation of Tristan Bult. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Asche, second by Runyon to rehire Tristan Bult at $19.50 per hour. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

With no further business to discuss a motion was made by Barrett, second by Settje to adjourn the meeting at 6:22pm. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
